Kyiv Duty Free

When you arrive or depart from Boryspil Airport in Kyiv, you are now able to wander in luxury around the new duty free section, which has recently been modernised.

It is nice to see the remodernisation of the airport start. As this is the capital city’s flagship airport.

Major plans are underway to modernise the whole airport site. Currently the facilities are quite small but beautifully presented and immaculately clean. In the shop area goods can be purchased ranging from top brands of perfumes and aftershaves, to cigarettes, cigars, and every major barnad of alcoholic beverage. Alongside the main dutyfree area are two well tended bar areas where travellers can get refreshed with tea, coffee, light snacks, even some freshly made Apple Pie or breakfast cobs depending on what time of day you are travelling. Multiple currencies are accepted. Always good to have euros or dollars on you as a backup. All in all Kyiv airport will be a joy to you if you have never travelled through it. It is ruthlessly efficient, and kept specklessly clean, without the long queues we have come to expect in British airports  for example.
